What are the Outlander Sport trim levels?
The ES, SE, LE, and GT.
What kind of engine is in the Outlander Sport?
It's a 2.0-liter 16-valve, inline four-cylinder engine, which produces 148 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque. It uses the Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control system, or MIVEC, as its variable valve timing engine technology. This engine is pinned to a continuously variable transmission for a smoother driving feel and more convenient shifting.
What is the city and highway fuel economy?
It depends on trim configuration. On any trim but the top-level GT, the standard front-wheel-drive system yields the best numbers on the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport: an EPA-estimated 24 MPG in the city and 30 MPG on the highway. Those numbers drop slightly to 23 MPG and 29 MPG, respectively, if you go with the optional all-wheel drivetrain instead. Due to its larger engine, the GT, when equipped with front-wheel drive, matches the all-wheel-drive numbers of the other trims. If you go with an all-wheel-drive GT model, the highway fuel economy drops to an EPA-estimated 28 MPG.
What is AWC and what does it mean?
AWC stands for "All-Wheel Control." It's Mitsubishi's name for its all-wheel drivetrain technology. Regardless of the type or condition of the driving surface, AWS monitors it and transfers braking and engine power to the wheels with the most traction to keep tires planted.
What are the standard features?
As the base-level trim, the ES comes with the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport's standard features. Remote keyless entry grants access with just the press of the corresponding key fob button, and you would be able to get into a cabin with two rows of fabric-trimmed seats for accommodating up to five people. On the dashboard is a color display for providing vehicle and driver information.
For entertainment, the Outlander Sport gets a four-speaker AM/FM stereo system, which includes HD Radio digital tuning, Bluetooth® wireless technology for hands-free phone calling and audio streaming, a USB port for connecting your portable device and playing media from it, and a seven-inch display screen. Also on board is cruise control for keeping you at a safe distance from the vehicle in front of you.
New for 2021, the Outlander Sport comes standard with automatic high-beams, lane departure warning, and forward collision warning with pedestrian detection.
Does it have a touchscreen display?
The base ES model of the Outlander Sport has a seven-inch touchscreen. You can upgrade to the next level up, the SE, to get a larger eight-inch touchscreen.
